Traditionally agro-farming and herding is the main source of livelihood but being located at high altitude and single crop zone, the productivity is far less than the high workload. Where our agenda is to strengthen the economy through capacity building measures. There are many traditional skills can convert to viable economic sources. We have planned to make a unique income opportunity by training, value addition and marketing the traditional crafts. HWDO is initiating skills development and craft-center to train in handicraft, computer literacy, tourism management etc.
