The 3050 meters high Hushe village lies in the heart of Karakorum, forms one of the remotest mountain communities in the world. Where access to basic services either scarce or inadequate. Besides its rich resources the 914 natives are living a poor life due to natural severity and negligence by fellows.

To face the challenges, solve the issues and transform the village a prosperous, the community initiated this landmark Organization. Since then we are working on many frontiers mainly focusing on education, health, environment and social services. HWDO, soon recognized by the community, funding agencies, and government for its distinctive struggle in social change process.
